Life this week ---

Sorry I no photos this time.  It's just some further updates about what is going on.

Hooray!!!
I got out of the hospital last Friday night.  I was very ready to get out, even though I am still in pain and out of breath all the time and especially on exertion.

I had my CTPA scan done - can I just say that this experience was awful!!! [I've had a CT before so knew what to expect]  I arrived down for my scan on Thursday but they needed me to have an EGFR done before they could do it for me.  So I was back up to the ward so they could get the blood sent and the results received.  unfortunately not in time for a Thursday scan so I had the scan done on the Friday.

Again I went down to the x-ray department and got up on the bed.  I found the lying down was awful - but not the worst part of it.  As soon as I lay down the breathing got worse ... then they added 2 lead vests to my bump and secured them onto me - this part made it worse again.  The added pressure made it harder to breathe again.

When the scan started the pressure kept on intensifying and increasing.

The liquid that they put in through the cannula on your arm was inserted and it started with a bad taste in my mouth and a feeling of heat (which weirdly increased my breathing problem again) travelled the whole way down my throat to my chest and all the way down to the pelvic area - it makes you feel like you have wet yourself which is really not a nice feeling at all.  when the bed that I was lying on came out of the machine i was starting to panic - I was fighting to breathe and the poor guy was so concerned as I gasped for help to sit up.  It took me a good 15-20 minutes to get a normalcy back to my breathing.  I never want to do that while pregnant again!!! Thankfully nothing was found in the scan which meant that my doctor let me go home.

I won't say that I'm not concerned about the fact I still am breathless more than I can breathe normally, I won't say that I'm not concerned about the pain that I feel around my myomectomy scar (it's like a small cesarean scar) but I will say that I trust my doctors and trust when they say that it's not serious. I will be watched and monitored closely, because as Skittle gets bigger the problem is increasing as well.

Since I've been home I have been so lazy!! I sit on the sofa and that is my day.  If I try to do anything I'm out of breath.

I had a MW appointment today and I'm pleased to say that all is good with skittle.  She was a little minx.  I lay up on the couch and the midwife measured my bump - which is MASSIVE!!!! and then went to get her heartbeat.  Within the first few seconds she had found it BUT ... she decided to do a big somersault and went from the left side of the tummy to the right side, the poor midwife had to start to find her again.

Skittle really doesn't like to be heard 😂 or poked, or prodded.  She was not a happy teddy.  We did have a good giggle at that.

Next week I have my growth scan and a cardiologist appointment.  I'm hoping that they can figure out why I am fighting to breathe at times.

Come on baby girl - be kind to mummy please.
