It's 2018!
Can you believe it? A brand spanking new year has started and it is filled with possibilities.
This year is open to many different adventures and challenges. I don't know about you but I didn't set myself any specific New Years resolution. It's not that I don't like them, it's more because sometimes I think that we set ourselves up to fail if we set specific ideals that we feel that we have to achieve. I prefer a goal, that is open-ended. My goal when I started my healthier lifestyle I did go to the extreme. I went cold turkey with all the different foods I cut out of my normal eating. It worked, but it was so hard to keep going. Thankfully after a few weeks, it got easier and I got into the rhythm of it.
so this year what am I doing?
As you know I am not able to do my exercise at the minute with being pregnant again and having a few problems - again - so when I have the energy and feel OK I have been trying to get out for a short walk. I do mean short and it is very slow because of my hips and back.
Once this little monkey is out I will be trying to get back to the basics. I will be breastfeeding this little one too so I know that I need to have the right amount of calories for that as well as keeping myself nourished. I won't be as drastic as I used to be, I can't (even though I would love to) Once I have been given the all clear I have my workout schedule ready to go.
my overall goal this year is - get healthy and yes to get smaller. Not necessarily weight loss (although that would be good) but a good health outcome. I want to be happy and healthy and that is the ultimate goal - is that not a better thing to want to achieve than a certain weight? size? or BMI?
This year what is your goal?
did you set one? or are you trying something different?
have you set yourself a workout program?
what about your food - is there anything that you can make better?
Do remember that you are still a person, this is only a part of who you are and not the complete you. If you have a dinner out - enjoy it! If you are heading out with your friends for a party - enjoy it!
