Let's get to it!!!
Have you ever noticed that everyday life can get in the way of allowing you to have some 'you' time?
It's true, it does. You wake up with your to-do lists that you HAVE to get through, and before you know it the kids are in bed and you are tidying up after your day and you land into to your own bed exhausted.
I don't know about you but I have those days all the time, and the day just runs away from me. Not anymore! (famous last words eh!?!)
Starting Monday (30/4/18) I'm back to carving out some me time. To begin with just 30 mins a day until Mattias is a little older and into a proper routine during the day like Rose. The time I enjoy the most is - first thing, while the house sleeps. I like to get out of bed, throw on my workout clothes and switch on whatever workout DVD I'm making my way through at that time. The house is quiet, there's no-one that needs me and I get to de-stress and at the same time get fitter. I may exhaust myself while doing my workout, but at the end of it, I feel so rejuvenated and ready for what the day has ahead.
Let's be honest though - when you restart after a LONG time off, it's almost like starting at the very beginning again so for the first week or two I probably will be tired during the day till my body gets used to it again.
I am starting a challenge group on Facebook, (if you'd like to join in just click on the word challenge and it will bring you to the group) This group is not for any workouts that you are doing, or food etc it is literally just for monthly challenges - be it abs, squats, plank etc. The workout group on Facebook is completely different (again click on the word workout to join - there are questions that NEED to be answered truthfully before you are considered, and it is women only - sorry guys)
My tip to myself and you guys is - start in the kitchen and workouts are secondary. I'm reteaching myself this at the minute and have been working hard to get my eating under control. My downfall - evenings!! I have started the habit of having unhealthy snacks before bed, which I didn't use to need. So what am I doing? I'm back to having my yummy microwave chocolate oat cake with a tiny bit of ice-cream (although you don't need the ice-cream, and you could use some plain yoghurt too)
Make a change today and join the challenge group or the workout group, choose your workout, plan your food and make a start to becoming healthier.
answer these -
Am I ready to start?
what am I going to change today?
Do I have the support I need to help me?

The groups I have are great help for these, so make use of them. The ladies there are amazing!
