Recovery Week
This week for me has been a recovery week. I've been doing insanity since January 5th. With great results so far. This week has been crucial and I'm so glad it fell when it did. Why? We have been dosed with the plague. First master fairy then me then Mr Fairy. Each of us has been struck with the awfulness of sickness.
The recovery week was important to help loosen up the body in preparation for the intense journey that's about to begin on Monday. Am I scared? Absolutely petrified! In August I thought that I would never do insanity. It was a scary feat never to be thought of. It was taboo in my head. I saw some ladies on my Facebook forum that had done it and their results were amazing - ladies you know who you are !
In August I had done the shred in September I started a new DVD and I thought I'd gone mad because I doubled up DVDs! What was I thinking!!! I kept this up for a few months and then I wanted a new challenge ... a bigger challenge ... and a scary challenge to push my limits! And my mind went back to insanity.
I decided that yep, I'm going to do it. I was going to attempt this crazy workout! So January 5th it began. Sure if my body wasn't able to do it, it would tell me. I started and I fell in love with Shaun-T.
The man is brutal. He knows what he is doing and he really, really pushes you! He wants you to succeed but also wants you to remember form, that if your form is incorrect injuries will almost certainly occur.
Anyone can do this workout! I would recommend that you don't jump straight in to it, you should work up to it. I felt ready after five months, some maybe feel that they could do it earlier or later - just know that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO.

Sometimes all you need is a little motivation to realise that you can. You need someone to sit you down and tell you that you are amazing and have the determination and power to do your next challenge.
What is your next challenge?
How are going to challenge yourself this week?
